Day 15 Kalahari

A very long and rather dull drive up to our last stop before we head back to Windhoek. It’s nearly 300 mile of straight road back through the centre of Namibia to our penultimate stop at Strampreit. It’s just on the edge of the kalahari desert.

On the way we pass by the Quiver Tree Park - about 250 of these odd looking trees are grouped together. Some of the biggest ones are over 200 years old

There’s also a place called the Devils Playground- basically lots of rocks piled on top of each other - no one can explain how

Lots of these chaps around

This is our lodge for the night - a pretty little traditional style with lovely staff as usual.
Had an oryx (that’s the one with the straight antlers)steak tonight - was delicious

So tomorrow we head for Windhoek and our last day .......
